Dr Pepper Invented in Texas

Dr Pepper was originally created in a Waco, Texas drug store in 1885 by a young pharmacist who in his spare time mixed and served carbonated beverages.

The final mixture of Dr Pepper had 23 different fruit flavors.

In 1891, Sam Houston Prim started the first bottling plant in Dublin, Texas. He made an agreement with the Waco drug store to bottle it in his new plant.

However, the Dublin bottling plant only used pure cane sugar, not corn syrup which gave it another unique taste.
