Personal Experience Stories

I have always loved to write and have been actively pursuing this passion for some time now. I learned it is more than just putting words down on paper. I had to find my niche and then learn the rules to writing in this genre.

I took a course called Fearless Freelance Writers at writebythesea.com and decided I wanted to write about my personal experiences.

One of my first stories was ‘The Day Our House Sank.’ Here is a snippet to peak your curiosity.

“My husband, Glenn, and I had just a married and decided we would begin our married life in the country. We purchased a mobile home from my parents who were in the mobile home business at the time, and we would be setting up our new home next door to my in-laws.

We worked to clear the spot where our house would sit. It was solid woods and brush when we started and had to be cleared before the house could be moved. It was tedious work and there were many copperheads. This was East Texas with lots of trees, snakes and sandy ground.”
